The South Central District had a fantastic day of choral music Nov. 3rd hosted by Southwest Baptist University. Much thanks going out to Dr. Tarrant and the students and staff at SBU. Jim Henry directed the 11/12 All-District Choir, and Raynard Brown directed the 9/10 All-District Honor Choir (Nate Cornelius:Coordinator). The students enjoyed the process and the product was fabulous!
Congratulations to the students and their teachers from South Central who were selected for the Missouri All-State Choir. We have had a great time rehearsing and getting ready for Tan-Tar-A.
Keep a look out for some changes to the audition process for next year. The changes for 2012 seemed to be positive and the auditions ran fairly smooth. Thank you to Amy Jameson and Vickie Wisdom for there hard work being coordinator and treasurer.

Sat. August 25th at 9 am - Parkview HS, SCMMEA Summer Meeting
The summer meeting will be held at Parkview High School this year on Saturday, August 25, 2012. A light breakfast will be served at 9 am, with the business meeting staring at 9:30 am. Clinic sessions will begin immediately following the business meeting. I hope to see you there, and enjoy the remainder of your summer!
