Meet the Clinicians
Linda McEachran Southard is nationally recognized as a pioneer in the Show Choir industry. An accomplished music educator, Linda is in high demand as a coach, clinician, arranger, choreographer, and judge.
Linda is honored to serve as Artist in Residence at Purdue University for the Purdue Musical Organizations since 2019. She coaches the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, the Purduettes, as well as smaller specialty groups including Flashbacks and BaNaNa, on stage presence and performance practices. In addition, Linda has choreographed songs for the PMO Christmas Show.
In 2019, Linda served as an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee, directing the performance ensemble, Company. In January 2020, she choreographed/staged the Belmont University acapella group, Pitchmen, who qualified for ICCA Nationals.
Anyone familiar with Show Choir Camps of America knows “Ms. Linda”. For nearly 40 years, including 10 years at SCA Disney World Camps, Linda has been sharing her talents with thousands of students and fellow music educators.
A high school music educator for thirty-three years, Linda was the director, arranger, and choreographer for the award-winning show choir, The Expressions from Buffalo Grove High School in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The Expressions earned numerous national titles as well as vocal and choreographic caption awards under Linda’s direction.
Linda’s performance roots in musical theater evolved into directing and choreographing over forty musical theatre productions, including classics such as West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Fiddler on the Roof, as well as more contemporary musicals such as Hairspray, Footloose and Curtains.
Linda holds a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University. In 2012, Linda was honored with the Fame Aspire Lifetime Achievement Award.
When not busy as a Show Choir consultant, Linda enjoys an active lifestyle in Franklin, Tennessee. Her interests range from fitness, culinary arts, learning French to extensive travel with her husband Mark.
Linda Southard is thrilled to be a part of the Missouri All-State Show Choir and experience their talented students and educators. She is especially excited to work alongside the amazing choreographer, Randy Sage.

For safety reasons, all rehearsals are closed to the public. Only those who are official chaperones or registered members of the conference (including single day registration) are allowed in the rehearsal space. Please help us maintain the safety of our singers by adhering to these requirements.
For liability reasons, members are not supposed to be official chaperones. But in the event that there was no other option, members still need to register for the conference. Thank you for supporting the organization that supports these ensembles!
